Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.
• WWE fans received concerning news as it was revealed that Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio is facing a significant period on the sidelines due to injury.
During this week’s RAW, Dirty Dom was spotted with his arm in a sling, prompting speculation about the severity of his condition. Originally scheduled to team up with JD McDonagh against Andrade & Ricochet, Mysterio was replaced by Santos Escobar in the match. Ultimately, the opposing team emerged victorious.
The latest reports from the Wrestling Observer shed light on the nature of Mysterio’s injury, indicating that he is slated to undergo Tommy John surgery, typically associated with baseball pitchers. This procedure aims to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in the elbow.
The injury occurred during a match with Andrade on April 15th, described as a freak accident. While Tommy John surgery typically entails a recovery period of 9 months for baseball pitchers, Mysterio’s timeline may be slightly shorter given the nature of his activity.
Despite the setback, WWE intends to keep Mysterio involved on television as he navigates through his recovery journey:
“He will be undergoing Tommy John surgery on his elbow which for a baseball pitcher means at least 9 months out. Since he doesn’t have to throw pitches hard, his recovery time would probably be a little shorter.
As of right now, the plan would be to keep him as a television character while recovering. He was off the European tour and had his arm in a sling at RAW.”
Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley is also out of action with an injury.
UPDATE: Dominik won’t be undergoing surgery as he tweeted the following:
“No surgery for this guy…”

• Recent updates to WWE’s roster page have sparked speculation among fans, indicating that NXT wrestler Guru Raaj may have parted ways with the company. Raaj, who has been inactive since his defeat by SCRYPTS in November 2022, has been moved to the alumni section of WWE’s roster page.
The departure of Guru Raaj, who was initially recruited by WWE to aid in the expansion of the company’s presence in India, marks another potential loss for NXT’s roster. Despite his brief tenure in WWE, Raaj managed to leave an impression with notable matches such as his encounter with Finn Balor at the Superstar Spectacle event in 2021.
While WWE has yet to issue an official statement regarding Raaj’s departure, his listing in the alumni section suggests that his time with the company may have come to an end. This development adds to a series of recent releases from WWE, including names like Cameron Grimes, Jinder Mahal, Indus Sher, Xia Li and Von Wagner.
