Asuka Rips A Fan For Bringing Up Her 0-6 WrestleMania Record

Yesterday was the 7-year anniversary of Asuka winning the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble match. Here’s what the former WWE Women’s Champion posted on this occasion:

“I made history by becoming the first female winner of WWE’s major event, the Royal Rumble. That’s why my name comes up every year when the Royal Rumble is held. I have many other records and they are engraved in history, so it’s easy to think of it as just one of those events… but normally, even getting one of those is a huge achievement.”

A fan tweeted:

“Asuka I’m begging you please get at least one WrestleMania win, preferably go undefeated at WrestleMania for the rest of your career, got some catching up to do.”

Asuka replied:

“Every time I achieve a victory or set a record, people desperately search for what I haven’t obtained yet and say, ‘You still don’t have this’. That system is endless, and I’m sick of it. I want them to stop obsessively looking for what I haven’t achieved. Their way of thinking is just too negative.

Was a WrestleMania win or loss ever considered a title like winning the Royal Rumble? This is just an issue that someone forcefully brought up against me. It’s absolutely ridiculous.”

For those who don’t know, Asuka has a 0-6 record at WrestleMania.

Speaking of Asuka, she has been sidelined following knee surgery last year, though she continued wrestling for some time despite the injury. This included competing at Backlash France in April 2024, where she and Kairi Sane lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

After announcing her break, Asuka underwent surgery and began rehab, sharing her recovery journey through vlogs on her YouTube channel.

Fightful Select revealed that creative plans for Asuka’s return have been discussed, including a potential tag team match, but this idea was ultimately scrapped.

Currently, there’s no clear timeline for her return, and reports indicate she hasn’t been spotted training at the WWE Performance Center or confirmed for this Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2025 PLE.
