Attitude Era Star Says WWE Might Bring Him Back After Netflix Era Begins

• On his Poddin’ Ain’t Easy podcast, The Godfather shared his WWE return plan for WrestleMania 36 in 2020 that were scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where he was set to appear in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal as three of his characters: Kama, Godfather, and Papa Shango.

Here’s what he said:

“I agreed to come out to Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal (at WrestleMania 36). I was going to come out as Kama, get eliminated, then I was gonna come back as Godfather, get eliminated, and then I was gonna, I don’t even remember what, I know that the last thing was Papa Shango, and COVID hit and they didn’t do it.”

He also discussed how his pimp character might be too controversial for WWE’s current PG content but could fit well on platforms like Netflix. Still under contract with WWE, The Godfather suggested that fans might see him make a return once the company transitions to streaming:

“They’re so PG and, when they see me, the audience wants to yell, ‘Where’s the Hoes?’ You might see me down at , once they go on Netflix I wouldn’t be surprised.

I mean, I’m still under contract. I’m still under contract with them so I’m sure you might see me pop up.”
