Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Austin Theory and John Cena.
• Anthony De Ceglie, editor-in-chief of The West Australian, dismissed wrestling as “fake” during a conversation with Austin Theory, resulting in a filmed “altercation” between them.
Still images from the incident were later released, and the story was featured prominently in the latest edition of the paper.
However, upon viewing the footage, it’s evident that the confrontation was not genuine, despite the paper’s attempt to portray it as such.

Anthony tweeted the following about this incident:
“Turns out you should NEVER call wrestling fake …”
• During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, WWE Legend John Cena said he thinks he can wrestle until he’s 50 years old, which means he has about 3 more years left, as he will turn 47 in April.
Here’s what the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion said:
“I think I can make it to 50, but I don’t think I can make it past 50. I think that at 50 — if we don’t plan [another event] — I just have to tweet: ‘I’m out #SeeYa’.
Everyone wants to write their last chapter, but that’s beyond my control. That’s how it happens. Man, I’ve had two decades with them.”
Cena was last seen on WWE TV at Crown Jewel 2023 in Saudi Arabia, where he lost to Solo Sikoa.
