• Authors Of Pain React To Rumors Of Them Being Retired

Fightful Select recently reported that former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions AOP (Authors Of Pain – Akam & Rezar) have retired from Professional Wrestling.

AOP got released from WWE in September 2020. They were brought backstage to AEW last year, but AEW Officials thought they weren’t a good fit at the time.

AOP coming to New Japan Pro Wrestling was also suggested to NJPW Officials, but they weren’t hiring new talent at that time due to budget issues.

A promoter reached out to see if AOP would work his event, and he was told that they’re retired from the business (no word on if AOP themselves said that or a representative of the group).

Akam (age 28) and Rezar (age 26) are working regular jobs these days.

After hearing rumors about their retirement from pro-wrestling, both men posted the same photo of them and Paul Ellering giving a middle finger, and the same caption:

“Ain’t done yet b*tches.”
