4. Ryback Says He Walked Away From A $1.5 Million WWE Contract, Claims He Was Originally Scheduled To Squash “Little Twerp” AJ Styles At WrestleMania 32
Former WWE Superstar “The Big Guy” Ryback launched a new podcast named “Conversation with The Big Guy”. During the podcast, Ryback noted that he walked away from a 3 year $1.5 million WWE contract. Ryback said that money wasn’t the reason why he left WWE.
Ryback talked about how WWE officials lied to him on several occasions. He also talked about how officials told him that he was going to face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 32, with Vince McMahon saying he would “squash that little twerp” during their WrestleMania showdown.
However, Ryback ended up losing to Kalisto in the United States Title match on the Kickoff show and Styles lost to Chris Jericho on the main WrestleMania 32 show.
