On last night’s episode of SmackDown, The Rock said the singles match against Cody Rhodes won’t happen, but The Bloodline has a counter offer.
The Great One said the new challenge is: Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 – the biggest tag team match in the history of WWE – The Rock & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes and the walking clown emoji aka Seth Rollins.
Rock said if Cody and Seth can win this match, The Bloodline will be barred from the Roman vs. Cody match on Night 2, it’ll be just Roman and Cody one-on-one in the ring.
However, if Rock and Roman win this match, then Roman vs. Cody on Night 2 will be “Bloodline Rules”, which means anything goes.
According to Fightful Select, Michael Hayes is usually the Producer for Bloodline segments, but that wasn’t the case last night, as retired wrestler Jason Jordan produced this segment, which went over time:
“The Rock and Bloodline took up a huge portion of WWE SmackDown on March 1, but it wasn’t produced by the usual suspect. Michael Hayes is usually in charge of producing Roman Reigns segments, Bloodline connected segments, and even many segments in which people set to feud with Bloodline were in.
However, he wasn’t listed as a producer on Friday’s run sheet. Instead, lead producer Jason Jordan was listed as the producer for both segments. As one would expect, The Rock’s segment went huge over time, which caused some immediate adjustments to follow.”
The Rock has invited Cody and Seth on next Friday’s SmackDown to answer this WrestleMania XL – Night 1 challenge.
WWE has also announced the following for next week’s SmackDown:
– Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross
– United States Champion Logan Paul will appear
