• Backstage News On AJ Styles Getting Injured Last Night
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles got injured at last night’s WWE Live Event in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The O.C. vs. The Judgment Day was taking place at this event, when an over the top rope spot got the former WWE Champion hurt.
The referee threw the X-sign (which indicates a legitimate injury), stopped the match and Styles was helped to the back.
There are some rumors going on about this being a storyline injury, so Styles can show up at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 along with Karl Anderson on January 4th 2023 and shock the world.
However, that’s not the case. PWInsider reported the following about AJ:
“The AJ Styles injury was 100% legitimate and not part of some sort of storyline work for the show.
We are told it was likely an ankle injury and Styles will be getting it checked out ASAP.”
Below are the complete results from this Live Event:
– Bianca Belair (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship ended in a no-contest after Bayley interfered
– The O.C. vs. The Judgment Day ended in a No-Contest after AJ Styles got hurt
– Dexter Lumis def. The Miz via DQ after Baron Corbin interfered, which led to Johnny Gargano making the save for Lumis
