• Backstage News On AJ Styles’ TNA Future

As the legendary career of AJ Styles approaches its final chapter in 2026, the wrestling world is buzzing about a potential return to the house he helped build. While The Phenomenal One is expected to retire from the ring later this year, new reports from Bodyslam indicate a growing belief within WWE that Styles will wrestle at least one more match for TNA Wrestling before he hangs up his boots for good.

The speculation reached a fever pitch following Styles’ appearance on the January 15, 2026, premiere of TNA iMPACT on AMC. Styles opened the broadcast to a massive ovation, delivering a heartfelt promo celebrating the promotion’s new era.

Later in the evening, he was featured in a backstage segment with then-TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian. Fans took notice when Styles pointedly stared at the World Title on Kazarian’s shoulder, hinting that a championship pursuit could be his final TNA story. However, the landscape shifted in the main event when Mike Santana defeated Kazarian to become the new TNA World Champion.

Styles first teased a return to the TNA ring during his appearance at Slammiversary 2025. At the time, he expressed a deep desire to compete in a TNA ring again, but noted that no official plans had been finalized.

With the TNA-WWE partnership continuing to evolve, the stage is now perfectly set for one of wrestling’s most iconic figures to provide a phenomenal final salute to the fans who supported him from the very beginning.
