• On Friday’s “Tribute To The Troops” edition of SmackDown, Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair with help from Bayley.

Charlotte hurt her knee during this match and had to be helped to the back. You can watch the spot where she got hurt below:

Charlotte was pulled from Live Events due to this injury.

In an update from PWInsider, people in WWE are “extremely concerned the knee injury could be fairly serious”. They believe that Charlotte getting hurt less than 4 months before WrestleMania 40 isn’t good.

• NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 will feature the debut of a new championship, the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, which replaces the discontinued IWGP United States/United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship.

The inaugural champion will be decided in a three-way match between Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, and David Finlay.

The decision to introduce this new title comes after Finlay destroyed the IWGP US/UK Title during the Power Struggle event.
