Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and Mandy Rose.

• The Wrestling Observer recently reported that The Rock wanted WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to turn heel and align with him heading into WrestleMania 41.

A fan claimed this was The Rock’s way of ruining Cody, because due to Cody’s babyface popularity, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns couldn’t happen at WrestleMania 40.

After speaking to his sources, Sean Ross Sapp noted that’s not the case. Here’s what he said on The Hump:

“I don’t think so. I think at this point everybody wants to be loved, but this Final Boss character is very good. It’s just… I know a lot of people are like why isn’t he heel, why isn’t he that… I’m willing to at least give him the benefit of the doubt in seeing how this plays out.”

Sapp also noted that Rock showing 3 fingers at Bad Blood 2024 had nothing to do with John Cena’s heel turn, which wasn’t planned to happen at that point.

• Mandy Rose’s career trajectory has taken a dramatic turn since her controversial release from WWE in December 2022. Building her own digital empire with exclusive adult content, she’s now revealing the financial success she’s achieved, claiming she earns 10 times her former WWE salary.

Speaking on her Power Alphas Podcast, Rose detailed the advantages of her current lifestyle, emphasizing the newfound freedom and control over her schedule. She also highlighted the significant reduction in physical strain compared to the demanding WWE schedule, which often involved over 300 days on the road.

However, the most striking revelation was her claim of a tenfold increase in earnings. Despite facing criticism from some quarters, Rose remains unfazed, prioritizing her happiness and financial success.

“You know, wrestling is just—it’s way different. But anyway, my point is that people want to judge, or they want to talk bad about it, or they focus on the stigma. But no one realizes what it’s done for some people’s lives, right?” Rose stated.

She went on to illustrate her current lifestyle and financial gains, saying, “And who cares? Like, paint this picture—at the end of the day, nobody cares. I can tell you that exactly. But paint this picture: I wake up when I want, do what I want, and I don’t have to take bumps or be on the road for 300+ days. And I basically make 10 times the amount of money that I made in WWE in one year. Like, that’s crazy. People always want to talk sh*t, but I really don’t give a sh*t at the end of the day.”

Rose’s comments underscore the significant financial rewards she’s found outside of WWE, and her unapologetic stance reflects a clear focus on her own well-being and prosperity.
