John Cena lost to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel and he has been teasing his WWE retirement since then.

The SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood is over, and so is Cena’s latest WWE run.

Cena gave the following update on his health after this match:

“Thank you @JeffDugasMD and your entire team in Birmingham! One arm fixed, clean & headed for therapy … one arm left to go! Thank you again and see you ASAP for the next one!!”

According to the Wrestling Observer, Cena underwent surgery on both elbows:

“He might do a comeback next year, but now that the strike’s over, the only reason he’s back is because of the strike. He fulfilled his commitments and everything.

He’s having surgery on both elbows. He really didn’t wrestle a lot, but he still ended up with two surgeries, so that says that maybe he won’t do. It’s not like he was doing anything crazy in the ring again.

I would expect him to do a WrestleMania match or something like that, and maybe sporadic TVs, but not a whole hell of a lot.”

The 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion revealed during a recent press conference that he is working on some projects in Hollywood that he’ll have to return to once the strike ends.

Cena also took to Instagram to post a photo which read “The End”.

John putting over Solo doesn’t come as a surprise, as he said the following during a recent interview on the After The Bell podcast:

“I just want to do what’s best for WWE.”

Cena wrestled a total of 7 matches during this run (both televised & untelevised).
