Old School WWF Celebrity Cyndi Lauper celebrates her 66th birthday today.

Did you ever hear about the so called “Rock’n’Wrestling Era”?

Cindy Lauper was the sweet lady that was responsible for its success, as she did a lot of cross promotion between main stream MTV Music and the World Wrestling Federation back in the mid-80s.

Her biggest claim to fame was having quite a few WWF Superstars in her music Videos, and accompanying Wendi Richter to her match at WWF WrestleMania 1, where Wendi ended up winning the WWF Women’s Championship.

As seen on this week’s SmackDown, 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick pinned R-Truth to win the WWE 24/7 Championship.

Maverick then noted that he’s going to get married because he’s the champion now.

There were reports that we might see Maverick lose the WWE 24/7 Title at his wedding and that’s exactly what happened!

R-Truth rolled up Maverick out of nowhere and won the Title at the wedding! You can watch it below:

According to PWInsider, the idea of Maverick losing the Title at his wedding was pitched by Maverick himself and WWE officials loved it.

It should be noted that the Title change was filmed after the official wedding took place.
