Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring WWE RAW and AEW Collision.
• Starting October 7th, RAW will be 2 hours long until the end of 2024. Here’s what WWE announced:
“RAW will be on USA Network from 8pm ET to 10pm ET starting on Monday, October 7th and through the rest of 2024 culminating with the USA Network finale on Monday, December 30!”
WrestleVotes added the following regarding RAW moving back to 2 hours for the time being:
“Regarding the news of RAW switching to 2 hours for the rest of the year, I’ve heard that many production and social staff who work behind the scenes found out in real time, just like the rest of us.
As for what this means for 2025 and Netflix, one source said WWE is eagerly anticipating the freedom to vary run times as needed. No firm decision has been made either way.”

• Last week, AEW Collision aired on Friday at 8 PM EST instead of Saturday and went head-to-head against WWE SmackDown, and ended up drawing the lowest viewership in the history of the show.
Collision drew 157,000 viewers with a 0.04 rating in the 18-49 demo last week, which is down from previous week’s 289,000 viewers with a 0.19 rating.
As previously reported, SmackDown (final edition of the show on FOX) drew the lowest viewership during the FOX era (if you don’t count the December 29, 2023 episode, which was a recap show).
Friday’s SmackDown drew 1.77 million viewers with a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is down from previous week’s 2.05 million viewers with a 0.53 rating.
AEW Rampage aired after Collision at it’s usual 10 PM EST time. It drew 233,000 viewers with a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up from previous week’s 218,000 viewers with a 0.07 rating.
