• Backstage News On Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman Not Being “Friends”
At the end of August, Roman Reigns returned at SummerSlam, paired up with Paul Heyman and then went on to win the Universal Championship at Payback.
It should be noted that WWE isn’t calling Reigns the “client” of Heyman, and neither are they calling Heyman the “advocate” of Reigns. This makes it very different from the Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman pairing.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE wants fans to believe that Heyman is indebted to Reigns for bringing him back, as he had nothing to do after Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania earlier this year.
Unlike the promos of Lesnar and Heyman, Reigns won’t be seen laughing at Heyman’s jokes or smiling while Heyman is speaking. This is just going to be a business relationship, which will be led by Reigns.
