• Old School Wrestling Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF/WCW Veteran Salvatore Sincere aka Johnny Gunn (Real name: Tom Brandi) turns 54 today.

Tom Brandi is best remembered for his time in the World Wrestling Federation (1996-1998) as Salvatore Sincere and later also under his real name.

Some early 90s WCW fans will also remember him as Johnny Gunn, who often teamed up with “The Z-Man” Tom Zenk.

He’s still active on the independent scene every now and then and rumor has it, that he’s using the gimmick of “The Patriot” (including the same gear) but allegedly without Del Wilkes’ (The Patriot in WCW & the WWF) permission.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM BRANDI!

• Backstage News On The New Possible Date For The Return Of Live Audience To WWE Events

WWE SummerSlam is set to take place on August 23rd at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The company wanted to hold it outside of Florida with a live audience, but the current situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic isn’t allowing them to do so.

The event was originally scheduled to take place in Boston, but the state isn’t allowing any public gatherings until the second week of September.

WrestleVotes is reporting that the plan for SummerSlam to have a live audience has now been scrapped, and WWE is now aiming to have fans back by the end of September.

“Being told with SummerSlam off the table, WWE is now aiming for the end of September as a restart for live audiences. TBD.”
