World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has taken a lot of shots at Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as of late.
On last night’s RAW, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley tried to talk Rollins into joining forces with The Judgment Day, like The Bloodline did. Rhea told Seth to be more like Roman.
Rollins turned down the offer and said:
“Let me make this clear, if there’s one thing I don’t want, it’s to be anything like Roman Reigns.”
This began speculation that WWE is planting seeds for a RAW vs. SmackDown – Champion vs. Champion main event match between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at Survivor Series 2023.
However, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that that’s not the case:
“They’re not going to do that. I can tell you for sure. That’s not on this year’s Survivor Series.”
Reigns and Rollins last collided at Royal Rumble 2022, and it was for the Universal Championship.
Rollins won the match via DQ after Reigns refused to let go of the Guillotine Chokehold, even after Seth grabbed the bottom rope. Reigns then assaulted Rollins with a Steel Chair after the match.
Since it was a DQ loss, Reigns remained champion.
