Below are some top news stories of the day, involving The Bloodline and Sasha Banks.

• The Bloodline may see the addition of a new member in the future, following the signing of a notable free agent, Tama Tonga, to the company.

The NJPW Veteran has decided to join WWE after spending 14 years in Japan, concluding his tenure recently.

Tonga had previously declined an offer from WWE 7 years ago to remain with New Japan Pro Wrestling and team up with his brother, Tanga Loa. They are the sons of WWF Legend Haku.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Tama Tonga is considered part of the “family” by The Rock and WWE Champion Roman Reigns. There has been consideration for him to join The Bloodline at some point in the future.

The current members of The Bloodline include The Rock, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman. The timing of Tama’s debut with the company remains uncertain.

• Mercedes Mone, fka Sasha Banks in WWE, is rumored to debut in AEW on next week’s Dynamite: Big Business special episode.

During an interview on the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast, Mercedes had the following to say about walking out of WWE in May 2022:

“Something told me I needed to do this & stand up for myself. It was a very hard decision because wrestling in WWE has been my whole life, hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my whole life but it’s the most proudest, it’s crazy because I would not be sitting here, living the best version of my life, in getting to be everything I’ve ever dreamt of — & more.

That moment changed my whole life for the better. I’m so thankful for that moment, so proud of myself, so proud of Trinity (Naomi), so proud of how strong we were.

I just know that everybody acted like they were in the room, or work there, or were backstage, or knew what happened, or knew what said… but all I know is that I handled it like a CEO, like the boss that I am, with my head held up high & I can’t say nothing but amazing things to WWE, so thankful for the career they gave me, the fans they gave me, the life they gave me, the dreams they gave me.”
