On Friday’s SmackDown, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler confronted NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn.
Ronda said this division isn’t big enough for them, so they want to take over Alba & Isla’s division too.
The NXT champs accepted a Title Unification challenge. Alba & Isla attacked them and the WWE Women’s Tag Team champs retreated.
This title unification match will take place on SmackDown in two weeks.
According to insider source BWE, this title unification match is WWE CEO Nick Khan’s idea, as this is a part of his vision.
Nick views NXT as WWE’s legitimate 3rd brand, and not just a developmental brand. That’s why he wants to use more main roster stars on NXT.
This is why Bron Breakker has challenged Seth Rollins to come to NXT to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against him.
