• Backstage News On WWE’s Plan For Their Women’s Division

Since 2016, WWE has focused a lot more on their Women’s Division than they ever did before up to that point, resulting in them banning the word ‘Diva’ and giving them a much more important role on WWE TV as well as the WWE PPVs (Premium Live Events), going as far as to book the first ever all-women’s main event in WrestleMania history in 2019.

WWE is now looking to restock their female division with some additional experienced women that are instantly ready to be put on television (as opposed to their Performance Center recruits and developmental wrestlers).

According to Fightful Select, former WWE Diva Emma returning on SmackDown was the first case of them bringing back such experienced wrestlers:

“Those that we spoke to said that WWE was hoping to restock the women’s division with several TV-ready, experienced women’s wrestlers. Emma returned recently, and we revealed that the company had an interest in bringing Tegan Nox in as well.

We reached out to (Chelsea) Green who claimed she hadn’t been contacted for a return, and noted she still has NWA, Wrestlecade and other indy bookings scheduled well into March 2023.”

Sarah Logan has been brought back as well. She returned on last night’s SmackDown.

Who else could they possibly bring back to help out their Women’s Division? Layla? Gail Kim? Jillian Hall? Alicia Fox? Melina? Brooke Adams? Mickie James? Eve Torres? Christy Hemme? Tiffany? …

Everyone else like Lita, Trish Stratus, Kelly Kelly, Victoria or even Michelle McCool obviously wouldn’t return on a full-time basis, but could return as part-timers for a storyline that leads to a match, in which they put over one of the current female WWE Superstars.
