Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving CM Punk, Kenta and Jade Cargill.
• As we’ve seen in various videos, the wrestlers in the ring during the main event of Survivor Series 2023 weren’t too thrilled to see CM Punk return to WWE.
However, the reception to Punk’s return wasn’t all negative. Here’s what Sean Ross Sapp reported:
“The reactions weren’t all like the negative ones we saw at ringside. Fightful Select is told that Punk was also greeted by a few friends when he returned backstage at WWE Survivor Series.”
• NJPW wrestler Kenta (fka Hideo Itami in WWE) tweeted the following about Punk’s return to WWE:
“I wish he creates another finisher and I’m gonna steal his move as my new finisher.”
For those who don’t now, GTS is Kenta’s finisher and Punk took it from him.
• Former AEW star Jade Cargill hasn’t had her WWE debut match yet.
Triple H was asked about this during the Survivor Series post-show press conference. Below is what The Game said:
“When she came in, we talked about her development and where she would land but what the development was… I wanna make sure whatever is thrown at Jade Cargill, she’s ready. And at no fault of her own, I think she was limited in that, right?
So, the idea is, we exposed her, we made her be seen… people are understanding and they’re waiting and they’re excited for her to come and when she does, it’s going to be massive.”
