• Backstage Staff Feels WWE Worked Them With The Seth Rollins Situation

Seth Rollins’ current status in WWE is putting everyone on edge, and honestly, you can’t write a juicier backstage mystery than what’s unfolding right now. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, all signs pointed to Rollins getting his hand raised over LA Knight – but then, out of nowhere, the match ended early and Rollins took the loss. According to Fightful Select, word coming from inside WWE is that staff fully expected a Rollins win, only for a last-minute audible to be called, leaving even those who are usually in the know completely baffled.

Backstage, the concern felt real. Rollins was said to be moving with a visible limp, and by the time Sunday’s Evolution PLE rolled around, he was on crutches backstage. The word being passed around is that Rollins is truly injured, but the whole situation is thick with secrecy: almost nobody backstage seems to know when or how he got hurt, or how severe things really are. Producers, wrestlers, and staff are all hearing the same thing – that it’s legit – but nobody’s able to pin down exactly what’s going on.

What makes this more interesting (or nerve-wracking, depending on your level of Rollins fandom) is that even WWE’s own behind-the-scenes crew is skeptical. While the story is that Rollins hasn’t even had an MRI yet because of swelling, there’s this feeling that the powers that be are keeping their cards close to the vest. One producer even joked to Sean Ross Sapp about it being a “Machiavelli situation” – that classic pro wrestling misdirection where the line between storyline (kayfabe) and real-life drama is intentionally blurred.

So what’s really up? Is Seth Rollins’ time in the spotlight on pause because of a serious injury, or are we all just being worked as part of a grand storyline swerve? Right now, fans and even people backstage are in the same boat: stuck in suspense, waiting for solid news.

• Brock Lesnar Is On WWE’s Ban List, Says UFC Hall Of Famer

Brock Lesnar has long been one of WWE’s most dominant figures, but fans hoping for “The Beast Incarnate” to make a surprise return may be left waiting. During an interview on MightyCast with Demetrious Johnson, UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier was asked if he’d like to face Lesnar in a WWE ring, since their planned UFC Heavyweight Title fight didn’t materialize in 2018.

Here’s what the former UFC Light Heavyweight & Heavyweight Champion said: “I mean, Brock is on the ban list right now. Oh, dude, Brock got into so much trouble. You know what Brock did? I ain’t telling you on air what Brock did. Bro is in so much trouble.”

Brock Lesnar was last seen in WWE at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes and put him over after the match. Lesnar’s return to WWE TV is uncertain due to his connection to Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The lawsuit claims McMahon offered Grant to Lesnar, which has kept him off WWE shows despite still being listed as an active wrestler.

The Wrestling Observer reported in May 2025 that The Beast is still under a WWE contract. This means that WWE would be ready to use Lesnar if his name gets cleared in the McMahon lawsuit. It should be noted that whenever Triple H has been asked about Brock in interviews, he has never said anything negative about him or anything about the lawsuit.
