Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.

• According to PWInsider, backstage personality Matt Camp was released from WWE last week.

Backstage reaction among his co-workers is that of shock, as it came out of nowhere and no explanation was given backstage.

Camp started working in WWE in 2019 and below are the shows he worked:

– The Bump

– RAW Talk

– SmackDown LowDown

– WWE PLE Kickoff shows

– NXT PLE Kickoff shows

– WWE Network specials

He appeared on every episode of WWE’s The Bump, until last week. No mention of his departure was made on the show.

• According to TheWrestlingBlog, the following 3 originally planned matches for WrestleMania 40 got canceled:

1. Seth Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship

2. Gunther (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the Intercontinental Championship

3. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair

Below are the reasons why these matches got canceled:

1. Punk tore his triceps during the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

2. Lesnar was indirectly mentioned in the Vince McMahon lawsuit, so WWE pulled him from their plans and are distancing themselves from him.

3. Flair suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus & a torn MCL during a match on SmackDown last year and will be out of action for about 9 months.
