Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Cora Jade and Damian Priest.
• There was an injury at Friday’s NXT Live Event in Dade City, Florida.
Cora Jade, who faced NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria in the main event, had her match stopped.
Some attendees mentioned a fake knee injury spot early in the match, but later, Jade landed awkwardly on her leg, leading to a botched pin by Valkyria.
In an update on this situation, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Cora suffered an ACL tear. This means she’ll be out of action for 6 to 9 months.
• Judgment Day’s Damian Priest, who is also the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion right now, has attempted to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract multiple times, but someone has always stopped him.
According to insider source BWE, Priest’s Money In The Bank cash-in date is ‘close’. No word yet on if Priest is going to become World Champion or lose.
Speculation going on is that it could take place in January or even as soon as tonight’s RAW.
BWE also noted that extra pyro is being prepared for tonight’s RAW. Tonight’s main event is going to be Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal for the World Heavyweight Championship.
