6. Domestic Violence Charges Against Jerry “The King” Lawler Dropped
Domestic charges against WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and his girlfriend have now been dropped. Ted Hansom, Lawler’s attorney, had the following to say:
“A big misunderstanding and won’t happen again. We are happy with the outcome.”
Lawler was suspended from WWE due to this incident.
5. United States Title Match Confirmed For Raw
Rusev will defend his United States Title against Titus O’Neil on the July 4th edition of WWE Raw. Below is what WWE posted:
“After turning back Cesaro, who earned a U.S. Title Match against him on SmackDown, Rusev will defend America’s title on the Fourth of July against Titus O’Neil, who defeated The Bulgarian Brute via count-out in a non-title bout last week on Raw.
Rusev has made his U.S. Championship rivalry with O’Neil intensely personal since WWE Money in the Bank, when he defeated and humiliated the imposing Floridian in front of his own children. Since then, O’Neil has been more determined than ever before. As he stated in a WWE.com interview last Monday night, O’Neil is “tired of just sitting back and waiting to be a champion.” On Independence Day, the wait might be over.”
