• Becky Lynch Asked For The Rock’s Permission To Use His Move

“The Man” Becky Lynch returned to WWE programming at SummerSlam 2021, where she had an impromptu match.

She hit Bianca Belair with the Manhandle Slam and defeated her in 26 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

The Manhandle Slam is basically The Rock Bottom, and Becky revealed that she asked for The Rock’s permission to use it.

Here’s what Lynch said on the Out Of Character podcast:

“So I used a variation of The Rock Bottom before but it’s just easier to get it and go. I asked The Rock if I could use it and he was very gracious and said that I could.

Called him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I told him how SummerSlam is gonna go down. And said, ‘Look, here’s what I’m thinking. I’m supposed to hit one move on her. Can I use this?’ ‘Yeah!’”

Becky is scheduled to defend her Title in a Triple Threat Match against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks at this month’s WWE Crown Jewel 2021 PPV in Saudi Arabia.
