Below are some top WWE news stories of the day:

– On August 30th, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will complete 3 years as the #1 champion in the company.

During the early days of reign, Roman used to win a lot of his matches clean (example: Jey Uso, Cesaro, John Cena …).

However, during the last year, year and a half, Roman began needing a lot of help from his Bloodline members during his matches.

It has got to a point where Reigns can’t win a match on his own anymore.

However, that’s going to change soon.

With The Usos out of The Bloodline, and Solo Sikoa also having some issues with Roman after getting speared by him at SummerSlam, The Tribal Chief is now scheduled to start winning his matches clean again, according to Xero News.

While nothing is confirmed at this moment, expect Roman’s next title defense to be at the Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia in a couple of months.

– With WWE’s merger with UFC coming up next month, there have been rumors going around that the company will release some wrestlers in order to make budget cuts.

Lacey Evans could be one of those wrestlers as WWE hasn’t had any solid plans for her in more than a year and she rarely appears on television now.

On Monday evening, The Sassy Southern Belle changed her Twitter username to “LimitlessMacey”, which led to speculation about WWE releasing her.

However, she still has “WWE Superstar” in her name and bio, so the handle change could mean nothing.

But amid all of the speculation, Evans tweeted a GIF with the text “Roger – how many days left??”, which could be an indication of her counting down the days until her WWE contract expires.

She last appeared on WWE programming in a match against Charlotte Flair on the June 23rd episode of SmackDown.
