1. Big Change To Upcoming WWE Championship Plans

The previous plan for the upcoming PPVs was for the former two time United States Champion Rusev to be involved in the WWE Championship picture. That was the reason behind WWE airing vignettes with Rusev demanding his WWE Title opportunity.

However, with the sudden booking of Jinder Mahal capturing the WWE Championship, those plans have changed now. Rusev will now be going after the United States Championship.

He returned at a recent SmackDown Live Event and was a part of the United States Title match.

On the other hand, Jinder is scheduled to face Randy Orton once again, possibly in a “Punjabi Prison” match at Battleground 2017 PPV. This will probably be the last PPV meeting between Randy & Jinder. After Orton, John Cena is expected to enter the WWE Title picture.
