• Big Gold Belt To Replace The Universal Championship?

In the main event of this Sunday’s WrestleMania 39 – Night 2, Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.

According to WrestleVotes, a new WWE World Championship title belt has been created and it could debut anytime now:

“There’s a new belt. I don’t know for sure if it’s getting a new name. I don’t know if one of the titles is going away, but there’s a new belt that WWE has had made and the decision-makers have approved.

Like, if they wanted to introduce it on TV tomorrow, they could. Those boxes are checked.”

It was recently reported that Triple H wants to retire the Universal Championship, as he isn’t a fan of that Title.

According to BeltFanDan (who has broken several news stories about WWE’s title belts), the ‘Big Gold Belt’ World Heavyweight Championship was pitched as the replacement of the Universal Championship last year:

“Early 2022 I heard the Big Gold was pitched as Universal replacement + Vince wanted a new unified belt for WrestleMania 40.”
