• Big Increase In Viewership For This Week’s RAW

This week’s post-SummerSlam 2022 edition of RAW drew 2.23 million viewers with a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demo.

This is up from last week’s 1.90 million viewers with a 0.50 rating.

2.23 Million turned out to be RAW’s highest viewership since the March 16, 2020 episode, which was the 1st episode with no fans in attendance due to COVID-19.

This increase in viewership can be credited to Triple H being the new Head Of Creative in WWE, as this week’s RAW was the 1st complete RAW under Triple H’s control and fans are excited to see what changes The Game will bring.

Majority of the fans felt the show has improved and they are excited for the future.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 3, 2021) – Old School Wrestling Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2021, we lost Old School Wrestling Legend “The Masked Assassin” Jody Hamilton (Real name: Joseph Hamilton) at the age of 82, while in hospice care.

Jody Hamilton wrestled for several territories during the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s, before a back injury forced him to retire from active professional wrestling in 1988.

As Assassin #1 he was one half of the famous old school Tag Team The Assassins aka The Masked Assassins, but over the years Jody had several partners under the mask of Assassin #2, such as Roger Smith, Tom Renesto, “Moondog Rex” Randy Colley and even Hercules Hernandez.

In 1993, Hamilton worked for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling as a heel manager for Pretty Wonderful (Paul Orndorff & Paul Roma).

In 1994, he was inducted into the short-lived WCW Hall of Fame, but he has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which – if it actually happens – is most likely going to happen as part of their annual Legacy Wing inductions.
