Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Big Show and Goldberg.
• During an interview on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, The Big Show candidly shared that the “New Year Baby” segment stands out as his worst experience in WWE.
“There’s been a lot of stuff I’ve done that has been absolutely horrendous, but I think for me personally, the worst thing I’ve done was when Vince (McMahon) made me do the ‘Baby New Year’ thing because it was so freakin’ awkward.”
He remembered being dressed in a diaper and a New Year hat, forced to dance in the bizarre outfit.
“All I could think of was some billionaire m@sturbating video where he’s got some fat guy. You can imagine Vince in some dark room looking at it on a big screen, like, ‘Yeah, now sh*t in the diaper, you fat ba$tard sh*t in the diaper. That’s it.’ It was just so uncomfortable.”
The Big Show speculated that Vince McMahon’s goal with the humiliating costume was to push him to lose weight.
“I got fat, so he goes, ‘So you’re a fat New Year Baby. Maybe you should lose some weight,’ but that’s the kind of relationship I’ve had with him. He’s getting fat, I need to motivate him. Let me embarrass him.”

• During an interview on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, WCW Legend Goldberg talked about his relationship with Rick Steiner’s son, current WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.
Here’s what the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion said:
“Love him. He had my tattoo, I think at some point he had to cover it up and change it. They tried to mold him after me a bit at the training facility. We had conversations throughout. We’re pretty close.
The kid’s a freaking freak. He can’t get any taller, (but) he’s a freak. His is force equals mass time acceleration. His whole deal is explosion, and that’s what makes him different.
He shines in an area where people don’t. He rises to the top because he’s different and takes it seriously, he’s physical, and he’s got a great head on his shoulders.”
