Bray Wyatt made his return to WWE at the Extreme Rules premium live event on October 8th 2022. He was released by the company in the summer of 2021 after he had been off television for months after his loss to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.
Unfortunately, his last WWE run did not go on for long as he caught COVID-19 a couple of months after his return, and passed away after suffering a heart attack on August 24th.
Wyatt’s sister Mika Rotunda took to Twitter on the one year anniversary of his return to WWE to share a message about her brother.
She said that she misses him and is still hurting over his unexpected demise, and her thoughts are with all the fans who are still mourning his death.
“It was one year ago that my brother made a return to @WWE
I never knew Bray, The Fiend or any incarnation of his wrestling characters.
But, I knew @Windham6 and very well. And his desire was always to make others feel good.
And his ability to make millions of people feel connected, simultaneously by his presence and spoken word – was his gift to the world.
If you miss him, know that I do too. And if you’re hurting, know that I do too. And if you felt his magnitude, know that I did too.
Find some ground to sing along.”
In an update from insider source BWE, 2K is thinking about dedicating the next WWE video game to Bray Wyatt.
