18. Legendary WWF Announcer Wants To Do Commentary For Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe Match

Old School WWF Legned “Good Ol’ JR” Jim Ross has expressed interest in calling the Main Event of the upcoming WWE RAW PPV ‘Great Balls of Fire’, in which “The Beast” Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship against the challenger “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe.

Ross was recently rehired to a WWE part timer contract, similar to a so called Legends-deal / Legends-contract.

He has already called the WrestleMania Main Event, which now seems to be The Undertaker’s final wrestling match, as well as a UK Title bout at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

JR is clearly not coming back as a full time commentator, but sees himself more as a guest commentator, jumping in whenever he’s needed.

His commentary style would certainly add to build up the drama of the match and make the match itself much better than it will be already.

Here’s what he had to say:

“I am personally looking forward to this match as much as any match I can recall this year and will tell you that it is an announcer’s dream to be privileged to call a bout like this. Yep, I’m fishing here.”
