• Big WrestleMania Announcement Teased By Nick Khan

WWE was originally set to host WrestleMania in New Orleans this year, but the company instead staged the event in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.

Looking ahead, WWE is also set to take WrestleMania international for the first time in history, with the 2027 edition scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the Show of Shows will be held outside of North America. Next year’s event was originally planned for Nashville before the change was made.

During a recent TKO Town Hall, WWE President Nick Khan teased another major location reveal for the future of the Show of Shows.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”

• How WWE Is Using AI For Storylines Revealed

Artificial intelligence is becoming a bigger part of multiple industries, and WWE is now exploring how it can be used within its own system.

According to POST Wrestling, TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro spoke about the company’s approach to AI during this week’s town hall, calling it a “major priority” moving forward.

Shapiro explained that Triple H and Nick Khan are already using AI to better understand what is working in WWE, including which storylines and pro wrestlers are connecting with audiences and in which regions.

“Nick Khan and Triple H are using AI for storylines with the WWE. What’s resonating? What superstars are resonating? In what pockets of the country are they resonating? That helps us with, obviously, our content, our editorial, our creative, our mapping, our touring, and of course, maximizing revenue and getting our product out to the fans most in need of it.”

• Major Change Coming To WWE’s Saudi Arabia Tour For First Time In 2 Years

WWE confirmed last week that the company is scheduled to return to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions Premium Live Event on June 27.

However, with the situation in the Middle East continuing to develop, WWE is keeping a close eye on things before moving forward with final plans.

According to POST Wrestling, WWE President Nick Khan told staff during a recent TKO town hall that the company is actively monitoring the situation.

“We’re only going if it’s safe or if we’re allowed there. We are monitoring with our heads of security internally and with our government affairs folks externally, the situation there. If U.S. citizens are allowed in at this moment in time, it is declared and deemed safe, we’ll all be going there. Saudi is deeply desirous of getting WWE back there and getting events restarted, especially those that come from the United States.”

Khan also noted that WWE is not planning to hold RAW or SmackDown in the country during this trip, unlike the last couple of visits where additional shows were scheduled around the Premium Live Event.

WWE has held either RAW or SmackDown alongside a PLE in Saudi Arabia since May 2024. This is the first time in two years that no weekly television show will be part of the Saudi Arabia tour.

• Another Opponent For Roman Reigns During World Title Reign Revealed

Roman Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 42. His first title defense will be against Jacob Fatu at Backlash on May 9th.

As we previously reported, Gunther and Oba Femi are expected to face The OTC during this World Title reign. In an update from SelfMadePW, Bronson Reed is also scheduled to be one of Roman’s opponents in this title run.

Roman and Bronson are 1-1 against each other. Reigns defeated Reed at Clash In Paris, but The Auszilla ended up picking a huge win over The Tribal Chief in an Australian Street Fight at Crown Jewel 2025.

Bronson is currently out of action with a torn biceps injury.
