We recently reported that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback challenged Booker T to a fight after they had an online disagreement, that led to Booker not letting Ryback appear on his podcast.

The Big Guy then went on a rant on his own podcast, when he said the following:

“Booker I tried being nice, but F**K YOU; F*ck Busted Open; F**k Mark; F**k all the f**king marks; F**k everybody; F**k everybody that doesn’t want to have a conversation.”

Ryback even went as far as to challenge the 5-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion to a fight.

Booker T ended up accepting that challenge on the newest episode of his ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast:

“Ryback is not gonna beat me up. I’m not scared, I’m not running. He wanted to challenge me to a Bellator fight. No Bellator is gonna book Booker T vs. Ryback fight.

As far as the challenge goes, I accept Ryback’s challenge to a fight. As far as if I see Ryback in public, it’s on. The green light is on.

So I won’t get sued if we see each other and something happened to happen, then it happens, but I’m not looking for a fight or anything.

You never know what you’re getting into in a fight. You never know what someone is capable of. I’m always about defending myself.”

Booker T worked for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1993 until the company was bought by Vince McMahon in March 2001, and jumped ship right away, coming into the World Wrestling Federation as the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion a few months later.

He wrestled for the WWF (renamed WWE in May 2002) until 2007 and then joined Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) until late 2009 and eventually returned to WWE in 2011 as a part time wrestler and color commentator, among other non-wrestling roles.

Booker T’s last in-ring appearance in the WWE was during the Men’s Royal Rumble 2023 match.
