• Both Roman Reigns & Drew McIntyre Are Out Of Action With The Same Injury

On tonight’s SmackDown, Sheamus & Drew McIntyre were scheduled to take on The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

However, McIntyre won’t be able to compete in this match. He tweeted the following:

“Unfortunately I am medically disqualified to compete this Friday on SmackDown. I don’t like to miss any shows as everybody knows but I promise I’ll be back soon.”

This Tag Team Title bout is still scheduled to take place, but McIntyre has been replaced by Butch.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre suffered the same injury at Survivor Series 2022 – a ruptured eardrum:

“Both Reigns and McIntyre are out of action for right now due to suffering ruptured eardrums at Survivor Series. It’s a short-term thing, and both should be back soon.”

As we noted before, Kevin Owens went off-script with an unplanned spot and slapped Reigns hard on the ear during the Men’s WarGames match, which caused this injury.
