In the main event segment of last night’s SmackDown, Michael Cole met WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the ring and The Rock’s gift for him was brought out to the stage, and it was a Truck with American Nightmare branding.
The Rock appeared on the titantron and said he’s been talking to Dusty Rhodes all week, and will see Cody at the Elimination Chamber, and knows that Cody will do the right thing and give him his soul, and become his champion.
The Rock showed that he has a weight belt with the words “Cody’s Soul” with the date of Dusty Rhodes’ death on it.
Rock said he looked up to Dusty and it broke his heart when he died. Rock told Cody to not break his heart again.
During this segment, The Rock also mentioned that he FaceTimed with Cody this past week. Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, tweeted the following about it:
“Did he say they FaceTimed?”
After SmackDown went off the air, Cody addressed the fans in Toronto. Solo Sikoa attacked him from behind.
Solo was about to hit him with a Steel Chair, but Cody countered and hit Solo with the Cross Rhodes to end the night and send fans home happy.
