• Braun Strowman Takes Subtle Shot At Small Wrestlers In Modern Wrestling

Professional wrestling has evolved significantly over the years. Today’s performers are more athletic and technically polished than ever, but in earlier eras, many wrestlers stood out through creativity, character work, and larger-than-life personas rather than pure in-ring ability.

Appearing on Something’s Burning with Bert Kreischer, Braun Strowman spoke about what he feels modern wrestling is missing and why the business no longer produces the same kind of instantly recognizable stars.

The former Universal Champion said that big men made wrestling interesting for him back in the day, but now he doesn’t find the current product as entertaining due to the lack of those kinds of characters in the business today.

“It’s lost the allure of the airport test, the ‘it’ factor. Like what got me into wrestling were these larger-than-life characters that you can’t see walking around on day-to-day. Like the Andres, the Hogan, the Takers, the Kanes, the Mark Henrys. These giant human beings… I’m hoping that maybe the big screen needs the big meatheads back.”

• Saraya Says Fan Got Physical With Her Because She Gained Weight

On her Rulebreakers podcast, Saraya (fka Paige) spoke about the struggles she’s faced with fat shaming and intrusive fans, especially after coming out of a difficult relationship.

The former WWE Divas and AEW Women’s World Champion revealed that while online trolling was one issue, some fans took things too far in person, making her feel self-conscious about gaining weight.

“I went up to 150 pounds, which for me was big. I’m 135 right now. I started putting on weight and everyone started picking at it… calling me fat. And I was like, I’m not fat… But they were so f**king cruel about it.

I rolled the window down and was signing sh*t, high-fiving… and this guy puts his hand through the window and pushes my face… like pie‑faces me and says, ‘Lose some f**king weight, Paige.’ And then he f**king takes off.”

Incidents like this aren’t isolated, as Saraya recently revealed that some fans tried to spank her multiple times and kiss her as well.

• Mercedes Moné Fires Back At Critics Of Her Holding Multiple Titles

2025 has been a very successful year for Mercedes Moné. She entered the year as the AEW TBS Champion and went on to capture 12 additional titles, holding a record 13 championships simultaneously at one point.

After dropping three, she currently holds 10, showcasing her dominance across multiple promotions worldwide and helping shine a spotlight on smaller companies and emerging talent.

However, some fans have criticized her accomplishment, arguing that it doesn’t benefit her career because many of those promotions lack mainstream recognition and that the title changes may hurt the wrestlers who lose to her.

Addressing this criticism in Moné Mag, Moné gave a blunt response about why she won’t engage with the naysayers, saying that the focus should be on the accomplishment rather than the opinions of those who don’t see the full picture.

“Why would I acknowledge the critics? The goal is shown. It’s been shown. For the people that can’t see it, it’s on them.”

Mercedes Moné will close out 2025 holding the following championships:

– AEW TBS Championship

– Women’s Owen Hart Cup Championship

– CMLL World Women’s Championship

– EWA Women’s Championship

– BestYa Women’s Championship

– PTW Women’s Championship

– Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship

– BODYSLAM Women’s Championship

– Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship

– APAC Wrestling Women’s Championship
