• BREAKING NEWS: Ric Flair Released From WWE

The legendary Ric Flair re-signed with WWE last year, but he’s done with them.

According to Wrestlinginc, Flair asked for his release from WWE and they have granted it.

Raj Giri teased this news yesterday, by saying that a big name who hasn’t been active in a while asked for his release and the wish was granted.

Flair was last seen on WWE programming earlier this year, where he was involved in somewhat of a romantic relationship with Lacey Evans on RAW. However, that storyline ended with Lacey’s real-life pregnancy.

Earlier today, PWInsider reported that ring announcer JoJo Offerman was quietly released from WWE 6-8 months ago.

JoJo is Bray Wyatt’s girlfriend and they have two kids together. Wyatt was released from WWE a couple of days back.

WWE quietly released Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett earlier this year as well. He was working as a backstage producer.

• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW Veteran Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (Real name: DeWayne Bruce) celebrates his 59th birthday today.

DeWayne Bruce wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1989 until 2001.

As Buddy Lee Parker, he was mostly used as a jobber, that was sometimes teamed up with fellow undercard talent Lt. James Earl Wright and together they were known as ‘The State Patrol’.

Later on he became a member of Kevin Sullivan’s Dungeon of Doom stable, where he was known as Braun The Leprechaun.

Most people remember Bruce as the head coach of WCW’s very own wrestling school, the famous Power Plant, which was a similar facility as the WWE’s current Performance Center.
