On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 13, 1996, Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling held ‘Heatwave 1996’ in the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The 1996 edition of ECW’s annual Heatwave event saw World Heavyweight Champion Raven compete in a 6-man Steel Cage main event, while TV Champion “Lionheart” Chris Jericho had to defend his title in a 4 corners match.
Sabu & Mikey Whipwreck were working twice that night, once together, challenging for the Tag Team titles and then later on in singles matches against different opponents.

• BREAKING NEWS: WWE Hall Of Famer Sunny Imprisoned Following Arrest
WWE Hall Of Famer Sunny, real name: Tammy Sytch, has once again been arrested.
PWInsider is reporting that Sytch was arrested early this morning, and she has been incarcerated at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Monmouth, New Jersey since then.
Jail records show that Sytch currently has no bond. The following charges are listed against her:
– Eluding Police Officer
– Contempt/Violate Domestic Violence Restraining Order
– Operating Motor Vehicle during second license suspension
Records show that she is due to face a judge in Middletown Township in Pennsylvania over these charges.
Sytch is currently on parole after being released from Carbon County Prison earlier this year.
This was her 14th arrest.
