On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 26, 2007, World Wrestling Entertainment aired ‘WWF SummerSlam 2007’ LIVE on PPV from the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
This was the 20th annual SummerSlam pay-per-view in WWF/E history and featured Booker T’s last WWE PPV match for 3 and a half years.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Umaga (c) defeated Carlito and Mr. Kennedy
Rey Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero
Beth Phoenix a #1 contender Battle royal
ECW Championship: John Morrison (c) defeated CM Punk
Triple H defeated King Booker
World Heavyweight Championship: Batista defeated The Great Khali (c) by DQ
WWE Championship: John Cena (c) defeated Randy Orton
• BREAKING: NXT Championship Relinquished On Tonight’s Show
In the opening segment of tonight’s NXT, new NXT Champion Karrion Kross said that he has a separated shoulders and WWE isn’t going to let him compete in this condition.
Kross then relinquished the NXT Championship and left.

Kross won the NXT Championship this past Saturday night at NXT TakeOver XXX during SummerSlam weekend, by defeating Keith Lee, who’s now a RAW Superstar.
Also on tonight’s NXT, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett returned and is working as a commentator for the night.
