On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 29, 1994, the World Wrestling Federation aired ‘WWF SummerSlam 1994’ LIVE on PPV from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

This pay-per-view had a double main event, featuring the ‘Brother vs. Brother’ feud, as well as the ‘Undertaker vs. Undertaker’ feud. Another highlight was Tatanka’s heel turn, that no one had seen coming.

• Bret Hart Is A Big Fan Of AEW

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, two time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart talked about his appearance at AEW Double Or Nothing and said that it was a one-time appearance.

Bret noted that he’s a big fan of AEW and hopes the company succeeds:

“It was convenient the first time. I’m a big fan of the promotion, and I like a lot of the wrestlers that are there, and I think it’s good for the industry if there’s another wrestling company besides WWE. At the same time, it was a one-time thing, mostly because I was in the area. But I do have a lot of fondness for what they’re trying to do, and I support them. I hope they become a real big wrestling company in the next year.”
