Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Bret Hart, Goldberg, Drew McIntyre and more.
• Earlier this year during an interview on Busted Open Radio, Goldberg addressed Bret Hart constantly calling him out for their WCW Starrcade 1999 accident.
Goldberg told Bret to grow up:
“The Bret Hart thing is just it just saddens me as a human being. That’s all. I mean, first and foremost, I would never wish ill will upon any opponent or anyone like that to have an accident like that happen. And end someone’s career, especially someone who’s, you know, one of the best that ever was 100%. It sucks.
I’m not asking anybody to understand it. I’m just saying, just leave me alone. Yes, sir (I warned him the kick was coming). Put your hand up. Do whatever you got to do, man. It is what it is.
Come on, man. I love you, Bret. Don’t be such a prick. That’s all. Grow up.”
During a recent virtual signing for Signed by Superstars, Bret was asked to comment about Goldberg telling him to grow up. Here’s what The Hitman said:
“I don’t pay much attention to Bill. I don’t know anyone that does.”

• WWE has secured new contracts with stars like Drew McIntyre, Chad Gable, Seth Rollins, Asuka, and most recently, Sheamus.
However, some talent, including Ricochet (who moved to AEW) and Becky Lynch (who left to take a break without interest in joining another promotion), have exited the company.
Kevin Owens’ contract is nearing its end, and WWE will need to negotiate a new deal with him soon.
Additionally, PWInsider reports that WWE has begun early talks to extend contracts for Rhea Ripley, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
WWE is reportedly adopting a “very aggressive” strategy to secure these deals well before their contracts expire.
