On this day in 1990, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Wrestling Challenge’.
It was pre-taped at the Huntington Civic Center in Huntington, West Virginia and featured matches, promos & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 1990’ PPV.

• Bret Hart Turns Down Vince McMahon’s Offer For SummerSlam 2019, Edge & Christian Expected To Appear
As we noted last week, two time WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart turned down Vince McMahon’s offer to appear at RAW Reunion.
Well, RAW Reunion wasn’t the only thing that Bret turned down.
According to The Dirty Sheets, Vince McMahon wasn’t happy about Bret’s appearance at AEW Double Or Nothing PPV, but he decided to let that slide by and wanted to work with Bret again.
Along with an appearance at RAW Reunion, Vince also offered Bret to appear at SummerSlam 2019 (since it takes place in Canada), but Bret turned that down as well because Bret thinks that would do him no favor.
Vince wants to load up the SummerSlam 2019 match-card with Canadian Superstars and that’s why Bret was invited.
Other Canadian Superstars that’ll be at SummerSlam 2019 include Edge & Christian (WWE sent them an invite and they accepted), Trish Stratus (to face Charlotte Flair in a singles match), Natalya (to face Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship) and Kevin Owens (to face Shane McMahon).
WWE still wants Bret Hart to appear at SummerSlam 2019, so they’re expected to make a better offer soon.
