1. WWE Splitting Up A Tag Team, Update On The #1 Contender For The WWE Universal Championship To Be Given On Tonight’s Episode Of Raw?

– Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE officials have no plans of keeping The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) together when Ryder returns from his injury.

While Ryder will remain on SmackDown Live when he returns, WWE doesn’t want them to be a tag team as they want Mojo to be a singles star.

This is the reason behind Mojo winning the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at WrestleMania 33 earlier this year.

However, it should be noted that WWE officials aren’t hell-bent on pushing Mojo either, as he’s been losing to “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin in squash matches at a recent WWE SmackDown Live Events (as we noted earlier in this top news article).

Speaking of The Hype Bros, Ryder won a SmackDown Tag Team Title match for his team by winning a Battle Royal on SmackDown Live. However, he got injured in that match and they didn’t get their Title match.

– As we noted before, a meeting was held backstage in WWE to discuss Brock Lesnar’s next opponent for the WWE Universal Championship.

Dave Meltzer noted that WWE officials have decided Lesnar’s opponent for the Great Balls of Fire 2017 PPV and an update regarding the #1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship is expected on tonight’s episode of Raw.
