Transgender IMPACT Wrestling star Gisele Shaw accused WCW/WWF Legend Rick Steiner of transphobic insults during the WrestleMania 39 weekend.

This allegedly took place at the WrestleCon convention in Los Angeles, but the incident is still unconfirmed, as some people have claimed they didn’t hear him say it, despite standing right next to them.

Shaw claimed that Steiner used the words “piece of trash and filth” in his insults, and also said “you’re a man” and “you’re a dude”.

At this point in time, Rick still hasn’t come out with an official statement on the situation yet, and refused to comment when an interviewer asked him about it on camera at an airport.

During a recent USA Today Sports interview, his son and current WWE NXT star Bron Breakker was asked about this controversy and here’s what the former NXT Champion said:

“Yeah, you know, I appreciate the question.

I can’t speak for my father, but that’s not a reflection of me and who I am and what I’m about.”

Bron Breakker was originally named Rex Steiner during his WWE Performance Center preparation to debut on NXT TV, but when his official debut happened, the name was basically changed at the last minute and he became known as Bron Breakker, a decision that was made when Vince McMahon was still in charge of WWE.

Bron sort of defending and justifying that decision now, is more likely just a case of him being a good soldier and loyal to his employer.
