Ryan Nemeth (brother of Dolph Ziggler aka Nic Nemeth) has made serious allegations against AEW, accusing the company of abuse, harassment, and mishandling conflicts involving CM Punk, according to Fightful Select.
In a formal complaint sent in September 2023, Nemeth detailed a timeline of events, supported by emails, texts, and call logs, outlining his mistreatment.
Nemeth’s issues began in April 2023 when he voiced concerns about being targeted by Punk. These fears culminated in a June 2023 locker room incident where Punk allegedly threatened him. Despite support from figures like Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks, Nemeth claims AEW did not respond adequately, and he was sidelined for two months.
Ryan feared he was being silently fired from his pay-per-appearance deal with AEW.
In August 2023, Nemeth was allegedly asked to leave an AEW show at Punk’s request, though AEW initially cited “travel confusion”. He later claims he was instructed to antagonize Punk during a live promo but felt his concerns were ignored by AEW’s legal and HR departments.
After Punk’s physical altercation with Jack Perry at All Out 2023, Nemeth was invited to participate in an investigation, but he felt AEW focused more on Punk’s future than addressing his grievances.
Nemeth’s pitches for creative return went unanswered, and by November 2023, he worked his final AEW match. He believes AEW management blamed him for the fallout with Punk, who was fired shortly before Nemeth’s departure.
Ryan alleges AEW offered him a settlement worth 3 years of salary in exchange for an NDA, but the offer was withdrawn, and he was threatened with legal action if the matter escalated.
Despite these challenges, Nemeth remains committed to advocating for policy changes within AEW to create a safer working environment. While Tony Khan reportedly considered bringing him back, Nemeth has no intention of returning and hopes his case will inspire meaningful change.
