• Tag Team Match For Tonight’s SmackDown Live
Below is what WWE posted about tonight’s tag team clash on SmackDown Live:
“Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin have made it clear that they are on a mission to rid SmackDown LIVE of any team that doesn’t take competition seriously.
After picking up wins over SmackDown’s resident sleuths Breezango and their best pals, The Ascension, the mat-wrestling masters are aiming their sights at one of the most successful tag teams in history: The New Day.
Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods love to have fun, eat pancakes and ensure that the WWE Universe is anything but booty – there’s no doubting that.
However, if Gable & Benjamin think that The New Day don’t take things seriously when the bell rings, they may be in for a rude awakening, courtesy of the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history.
Who will walk out of this hard-hitting battle with a victory?”
• Bruce Prichard Recalls Goldust Wanting To Get Breast Implants
During a recent edition of Something To Wrestle podcast, Bruce Prichard recalled Goldust wanting to get breast implants, but Vince McMahon being completely against it.
Below is the story:
“I think we were in Madison Square Garden and there had been some guy that had gotten breast implants and there was a lot to do about it. Everything was fizzling. There was no real direction with Goldust at the time. In my head it happened at Madison Square Garden where Dustin had worked himself up for this pitch.
He had pitched it to everybody around Vince McMahon except Vince McMahon. So, Vince knew what Goldust was going to pitch him and he had already heard it. He had heard it from me; he had heard it from Vince Russo; he had heard it from Jim Ross.
There was no way in hell that Vince McMahon was going to allow him to do this. He didn’t want him to do it. We had jumped the shark so many times on this gimmick that this was something that wasn’t going to happen. Dustin Rhodes felt that this is the only thing that can revive his career.
He really wanted to get the breast implants. Get Double D’s and stuff, but thank god Vince McMahon talked him out of it.”
