Below are some top AEW news stories of the day, involving Bryan Danielson and Dustin Rhodes.

• AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will defend his Title against Bryan Danielson in the main event of the All In PPV at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 25th.

Both wrestlers have expressed mutual respect ahead of their match. This bout was arranged after Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation tournament by defeating “Hangman” Adam Page in the finals.

It will be only the second time they’ve faced each other, with their first encounter occurring on Dynamite in October 2023, where Danielson emerged victorious.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Strickland spoke highly of Danielson, acknowledging his exceptional skills and experience. “Bryan’s not just experienced, he’s the greatest of all time,” Strickland said. “That’s who I’m going up against—a first-ballot Hall of Famer. I’ve never faced anyone like him. But he’s never faced anyone like me.”

Danielson’s AEW wrestling contract is set to expire this week, and he plans to retire from full-time wrestling at the end of 2024.
