Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Bryan Danielson and Oba Femi.
• Bryan Danielson faces an uncertain wrestling future due to a serious neck injury that has prompted him to undergo stem cell therapy to avoid surgery.
While no longer wrestling full-time, Danielson hopes to continue part-time if his condition improves.
At today’s AEW All In Texas on-sale event, sporting a short haircut reminiscent of his WWE SmackDown General Manager days, he humorously claimed he had “75 matches left” but expressed doubt about his ability to wrestle at All In 2025 or even in the future. However, he will appear at this event.
This was Bryan’s first AEW appearance since losing the World Title to Jon Moxley.

• Oba Femi returned to NXT programming at the Deadline PLE in Minneapolis, stepping into the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge as a replacement for Eddy Thorpe, who was sidelined due to an injury angle.
Femi, who had been absent since losing to Tony D’Angelo at Halloween Havoc and was spending time in his home country of Nigeria during the break, won the match to become the #1 contender for the NXT Championship.
According to Fightful Select, Triple H is a big fan of Femi, who is now set to challenge NXT Champion Trick Williams for the Title at the New Year’s Evil special on January 6.
A former North American Champion, Femi has been a regular presence on NXT TV since signing with the company in 2021.
